Providing educational resources and research initiatives about the trucking industry.

Supporting career pathways that prepare students for meaningful, sustainable careers.

Developing a diverse and skilled workforce pipeline.

High School CDL Curriculum Guide for Teachers

Made possible through the generous support of the PepsiCo Foundation and Knorr-Bremse Global Cares Foundation.  Additionally, we extend our gratitude to the CH Robinson Foundation for its support of the Next Generation in Trucking Foundation.

The Next Generation in Trucking (NGT) Foundation is proud to introduce the first-ever high school CDL curriculum guide, designed specifically for teachers preparing students for careers in trucking. This comprehensive resource provides educators with structured lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, handouts, and assessments to support a full-year CDL course.

This guide ensures teachers have everything they need to engage students, reinforce learning, and prepare them for long, successful trucking careers.

TruckFit Curriculum: Health & Wellness for Future Drivers

The Next Generation in Trucking (NGT) Foundation, in collaboration with Dr. Mark Manera of Offshift, is developing the TruckFit Curriculum—a video series designed to teach new drivers how to maintain a healthy lifestyle on the road.

While this curriculum is specifically designed for high school CDL students and entry-level drivers, we believe EVERY driver—regardless of age or experience—can benefit from these lessons.

Key Features

This project is made possible thanks to the generous funding of the Pilot Foundation and the Trucking Cares Foundation. Additionally, we extend our gratitude to the CH Robinson Foundation for its support of the Next Generation in Trucking Foundation.
