Employer Apprenticeship Programs

Registered Apprenticeship Programs

After your driver has earned their CDL with any required endorsements, or your diesel mechanic has completed their initial technical training, your company may be looking for the next step to train and retain your new employee…

Next Generation in Trucking’s Registered Apprentice Program (RAP) is a no-cost option to provide standardized training and retention incentives in two essential career pathways:

  • CDL Driving
  • Diesel Mechanics

NGT works in collaboration with Fastport, a workforce development accelerator and U.S. Department of Labor’s Industry Intermediary to create and support Registered Apprenticeship programs. Fastport helps streamline the workforce development process, connecting organizations to industry stakeholders and diverse candidates for “earn-and-learn” career opportunities. With over 200 years of combined workforce development expertise, Fastport supports NGT in creating new apprenticeships, expanding existing programs, and developing national models for accelerated implementation.
