Lindsey Trent is the Co-Founder and President of the Next Generation in Trucking Association a non-profit trade
association with the mission to promote trucking as a positive career field and create trucking programs while
encouraging training and employment of young people in the trucking industry; and connecting them to training and
employment opportunities.
Lindsey fell in love with the trucking industry while also learning about its vast employment needs when she started
a job in truck driver staffing. She went on to work in business and customer development for Ryder, the transportation
industry leader in supply chain solutions for North America. From professional drivers to technicians, equipment maintenance
to warehousing, entry-level staff to Leadership, Lindsey brings a wealth of knowledge, connections, and solutions to every
door. She is passionate about introducing young people to trucking and the opportunities it can provide, leading her to
revolutionize the industry by launching education and industry partnerships that aid in creating a skilled, diverse and
equitable workforce.
Lindsey serves on the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Trucking Association and the Advisory Board of Fairdale High
School where she helped start their Diesel Technician program.
Lindsey is a graduate of Purdue University and resides in Louisville, Kentucky with her husband and two kids where she
enjoys working out, golfing, traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
Dave Dein

Dave Dein is the truck driving program coordinator and instructor at the Patterson High School Supply Chain and Logistics Training Center and the Co-Founder of the Next Generation in Trucking Association. He has been actively involved in the trucking industry since 1988 as both a driver, manager, and founder of Faith Logistics; non-profit truck driving school ministry. Dave has been employed by the Patterson Joint Unified School district for 21 years and holds both multiple and single subject teaching credentials.
Mark S Allen

Mark Allen is President & CEO of the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA), a McLean, Virginia based trade association that advocates for the $380 billion foodservice distribution industry. Allen oversees IFDA’s day-to-day operations, including all initiatives in education, research and government affairs. He also serves on IFDA’s Board of Directors, which is composed of the presidents and CEOs of 27 leading foodservice distribution companies.
Allen holds a B.S. in Marketing and Economics from the State University of New York at Oswego and a M.B.A. from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. His current/past leadership roles include: Board member of The Food Institute; Board member of the Institute for Distribution Excellence; Chair of the NAW Association Executives Council; Board member of the National Association of Wholesaler Distributors.
Allen resides in Leesburg, Virginia with his wife and three sons.

ATS provides driver training simulators to all industries employing drivers, such as, heavy truck, last mile, corporate fleets, emergency, and law enforcement agencies. With its unique technology and processes, ATS has made this once cost prohibitive tool affordable to everyone, including high schools. Rebecca has more than 25 years of experience in the legal arena and transportation training industry. She is a board member of the Commercial Vehicle Training Association, member of the Florida Bar and a director of Angels Against Abuse, Inc.

Troy Hogan is a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Business Advisory Group and a member of the firm’s Transportation Services Group. Troy advises clients in a wide variety of accounting, tax, and business matters and consults with clients to manage business issues specific to the transportation industry. He applies his extensive experience in tax planning and structuring, tax compliance, financial statement analysis, and representation and advocacy before the IRS to help clients find solutions for concerns including per diem, fuel tax credits, and entity restructuring. Troy is a frequent speaker at conferences for various state trucking associations as well as McLeod Software events.
As Founder and CEO of DriverReach, a modern driver recruiting management solution, Jeremy Reymer, is passionate and innovative in addressing today’s challenges with recruiting CDL drivers. Jeremy brings over 15 years of experience in the trucking industry as both a carrier and a vendor, having led a small truckload operation as well as a regional CDL driver staffing company. As a member of ATA’s Workforce Development Committee and ATRI’s Research Advisory Committee, Jeremy is devoted to solving the industry’s greatest issues. Mike has been with Performance Food Group for 21 years in many capacities. His current role is Vice-President of Operational Excellence. In this role, his job is to employ strategies that maximize every area of the Performance Food Service Segment’s (60 distribution centers) P&L. Most recently, he was President of the Atlanta distribution facility, PFG’s largest distribution center. Before that, he was President of the Virginia distribution center for ten years. He holds an MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill and a BS in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. His hobbies include scuba diving and traveling. He resides in Richmond, Virginia, with his daughter, Grace.
Don Lefeve is the President of Glen Drive Strategies, LLC, a boutique government affairs and consulting firm based in Alexandria, Virginia. Lefeve previously served as the President & CEO of the Commercial Vehicle Training Association (CVTA), the nation’s largest association of commercial truck driving schools. While at CVTA, Lefeve was successful in securing a number of legislative and regulatory provisions to improve driver training and address CDL licensing issues on both federal and state level. He has previously held senior government affairs positions in the telecommunications industry and served on the legislative staff of former United States Senator John Warner. Lefeve has worked on several Congressional, Senate, and Presidential campaigns.
Lefeve holds a B.A. in History from Randolph-Macon College, a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law and was a 2006 Fellow at the Thomas C. Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership (University of Virginia). Mr. Lefeve is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
Dave Harrison

Dave has extensive experience coordinating and advising employers, Industry Associations, and the Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship (DOL- OA) on the most effective implementation models for Registered Apprenticeships, Workforce development and Military hiring programs.
Dave has served as a DOL designated Subject Matter Expert in Registered Apprenticeship Technical Assistance for the last 7 years. Additionally, Dave directs industry engagement operations for the Registered Apprenticeship Centers of Excellence as well. He also serves on the board of the Minority Professional Truckers Association, the DOL/DOT Driver Shortage Taskforce, and the White House Supply Chain Taskforce.
His extensive experience in apprenticeship is combined with more than two decades of experience in operations, human resources, recruiting and employee training and development in the private sector. Dave has directly supported, developed, and implemented apprenticeship related training instruction and on-the-job training outlines for multiple workforce development programs. Dave has successfully designed and implemented National Standards of Registered Apprenticeships, National Occupational Frameworks and curriculum across a multitude of industry sectors. In his capacity as Executive Director he manages 21 National Apprenticeship Programs that have accounted for over 19,000 Apprentices.
Dave served multiple combat tours of duty as a U.S Army Infantry leader. He received his BA in History - Secondary Education from Austin Peay State University. He has been a high school educator, football coach, business owner and in his over 11 years with J.B Hunt Transport he is best known for developing and directing the Hunt’s Heroes program with the dedicated mission of hiring 10,000 Veterans. He and his wife, Gena, have five daughters and 8 grandchildren.

Rob Behnke has been a part of the trucking industry for over 30 years. During the first 10 years he has enjoyed driving for both local and regional carriers. For the past 20 years Rob has been teaching and advising from a Department Chair and now a Director role at Fox Valley Technical College.
Rob is a member of the Wisconsin Motor Carriers, the National Association of Publicly Funded Truck Driving Schools (NAPFTDS), the Professional Truck Driving Institute (PTDI), Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT), Women in Trucking (WIT), and 5-Stones of Wisconsin.
Rob’s degree is specific to Adult Education with an emphasis in Transportation. Rob lives near Appleton, WI with his wife of 30 years, a son, two daughters, and a grand-daughter.

Leah Shaver is the President & CEO of The National Transportation Institute (NTI), the trucking industry subject matter experts on professional driver wages, best practices and programs and in 2019 joined the lineup of Talk Radio Hosts on SiriusXM’s Road Dog Trucking Radio.
Leah’s career has been spent supporting long-term growth and expansion of the transportation industry while reinforcing its best resource – professional truck drivers! Today, NTI works to deliver opportunities for fleets to grow, to attract additional workers, and then expand in their marketplace with that appropriately compensated, engaged and retained workforce. Tagged the “Sunshine Girl” by SiriusXM listeners, whether on-air or in the boardroom, Leah encourages professional drivers and trucking fleets with an upbeat, positive and direct manner, focused on top performance, career growth and retention.
Recognized as a Top Woman to Watch in Transportation, Leah is a subject matter expert on driver compensation and strategies addressing driver recruiting, retention and development of the driver candidate pool. In addition to owning and operating NTI and contributing on-air at SiriusXM, Leah serves on the Board of Directors of The Next Generation in Trucking Association, as an officer on the Board of Directors of the Women In Trucking Association, and volunteers as a licensed foster care provider and advocate.
Brian is a transportation professional with 30 years in the trucking industry. For 19 years Brian drove over 2 million safe miles and spent eight years as a driver trainer.
Over the next 5 years he dedicated his career to trucking safety and driver traning, including creating and directing an in-house CDL training school for an Indianapolis
based trucking company. In 2017, the opportunity to move to the trucking insurance industry arose, where Brian gained experience in Loss Control and Sales.

Ray Clark

Ray Clark is the Director of Training and Development for Truck Country and Stoops Freightliner where he oversees two corporate training centers, Truck Country Technical Institute and Stoops Training Academy.
In addition to working with his team in keeping over 500 technicians certified, he sits on 3 JAD groups with DTNA (Daimler Trucks of North America), UptimePro, Training and Service Advisor JAD’s along with being on a diesel advisory council for Northeast Iowa Community College.
Ray considers himself nothing more than a tech by skill, with a strong feel for leadership. After completing Ohio Diesel Technical master tech program, he moved through the ranks from a tech to service manager. He even was elected as a Highway Superintendent, one of the youngest at that time. He now has 14-plus years of experience with Freightliner (DTNA) dealership service operations.
Growing up in a family excavating business and loving what he does, he named his son Diesel. Married to his wife, Kristine, of 29 years, they enjoy the beautiful Midwest scenery via two-wheel wind therapy.
Josef Muftic is an veteran operator with 20+ years of experience in the transportation industry. He began his
career at FedEx Express as a package handler and moved up to various roles in over-the-road pickup, delivery driving,
and eventually senior management.
In 2016 Josef began his career with Amazon as an Operations Manager in the Transportation
Operations Management (TOM) team. Currently he serves as a transportation General Manager for Amazons middle mile space
overseeing two thousand employees and salaried leaders. His scope continues to expand to safety, DOT compliance, quality,
performance, customer and employee development for the South, East, and North TOM regions. His passion lies in driving the
vision for his team and creating quality and process change initiatives that incorporate the transportation mission at Amazon.
Josef comes from the unique perspective of having utilized a driving-based career to
jumpstart an even larger corporate logistics career path. He brings a passion to grow the younger generation of future drivers
and open the door to many exciting career opportunities.
Josef holds a BA in Psychology and MBA complimented with a Quality Driven Management ASQ certification.
Currently he lives outside Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and two young children.
