From Student to Successful Entrepreneur

After graduating from the Patterson High School (PHS) Trucking Program, Ricardo Jimenez launched his own trucking company while attending the University of California, Merced. By his junior year, he expanded to a second truck and hired his first driver. After graduating with a 4.0 GPA in Management and Business Economics, he added a third truck to his fleet.

Ricardo’s passion for the industry is evident—he hires fellow PHS graduates, recognizing the value of both skill and professionalism. A dedicated mentor, he regularly speaks to PHS students, inspiring future drivers. He also credits PHS’s simulator training for saving his life when a front tire blowout tested his skills shortly after earning his CDL.

Ricardo’s journey showcases leadership, resilience, and a commitment to the next generation in trucking.
