Whether he’s tearing down engines, replacing turbos, or diagnosing performance issues, he thrives in hands-on environments where critical thinking and teamwork matter.

For Brenden, the diesel program is more than a class — it’s a pathway to a meaningful future. He takes pride in working alongside friends he’s known since middle school, building engines and accomplishing goals together. The program challenges students to think critically, solve real-world problems, and collaborate as a team — skills that will serve him well in his career.

Diesel technicians with strong attention to detail are in high demand, and Brenden understands how important this field is. When the diesel program at Bridging faced uncertainty due to instructor turnover and declining enrollment, he remained committed and focused. He could not stand by and watch a program with such career potential fade away. His dedication reflects both maturity and a deep respect for the trade.

After introductions facilitated by Next Gen Trucking, a partnership was developed with Performance Foodservice. Through this collaboration, Brenden secured a senior internship with PFG — and he is doing fantastic. His growth in confidence and willingness to take on new challenges has been evident all year. In a generation that sometimes needs a little extra encouragement to step outside their comfort zone, Brenden has embraced the opportunity and risen to the occasion.
