Next Generation in Trucking Association is proud to recognize Cohen Perry from Daniel Morgan Technology Center (DMTC) as our Student of the Month!
Cohen’s passion for trucking began at a young age. He remembers looking out the car window and being fascinated by the big trucks traveling down the highway. That early interest in vehicles has grown into a promising career path through DMTC’s CDL program, where Cohen has especially enjoyed getting behind the wheel and practicing real-world driving maneuvers on the range.
As a member of DMTC’s first cohort of CDL students, Cohen has already made an impressive impact. His instructor describes him as a dedicated and enthusiastic learner whose work ethic and commitment to excellence have set a high standard for future students. Cohen has also secured a work-based learning opportunity with Heavy Haul Solutions, where he is gaining valuable industry experience while continuing his education. The company has consistently praised his performance and dedication.
Cohen takes pride in the knowledge, skills, and opportunities he has gained through the program. His advice to students considering a CDL pathway is straightforward: “LEARN THE PRE-TRIP INSPECTION.” He also encourages students to listen closely to their instructors and take advantage of their industry experience.
